The Itinerary

We know that this is what you’ve been waiting for, so here it is, “The Itinerary”.

Day 1: Drive to Raleigh, NC and spend the night with Matt
Day 2: Fly to San Francisco and then drive to Healdsburg, CA and visit a winery or two.
Day 3: Drive to Redding, CA and marvel at Mt. Shasta.
Day 4: Drive to Klamath Falls, OR via Lava Beds National Park.
Day 5: Drive to Bandon, OR and en route drive the rim road at Crater Lake National Park.
Day 6: Drive to Newport, OR and take in the wild splendor of the Oregon coastline.
Day 7: Drive to Portland, OR via 3 Capes and Tillamook (Cheese & Ice Cream factory). We are going to stay with Jackie, the daughter of one of our neighbors.
Day 7: Sightseeing in the Portland area.
Day 8: Drive to Seattle, WA and then fly onto Anchorage, AK where we meet up with Gavin & Helen and embark on an 8 day self drive tour, Alaska Highlights, from AlaskaTours.com.
Day 9: Drive to Seward, AK.
Day 10: Drive to Whittier, AK and then onto Valdez via the Alaska Marine Highway (Ferry).
Day 11: Drive to Copper Center, AK.
Day 12: Drive to Fairbanks, AK.
Day 13: Drive to Denali National Park and enjoy a Tundra Wilderness tour.
Day 14: Drive to Anchorage.
Day 15: Fly to Juneau
Day 16: Join American West Steamboat cruise Juneau, AK to Seattle, WA.
Day 28: Arrive in Seattle, WA and spend the day sightseeing.
Day 29: Say goodbye to Gavin & Helen (They will be going back home to Australia) and then fly to Raleigh, NC and overnight with Matt.
Day 30: Drive home and sleep.
