Day 2

Well the day started off ok, but…..

Matt drove us to the airport to catch our 9:20am flight and we got to Dallas without incident, except for a fire alarm going off while we waited at Raleigh for the flight to leave. However, when we got to the gate in Dallas the plane for our flight to San Francisco was nowhere to be seen; eventually it turned up, from the hanger, and we boarded about 30 minutes after we were supposed to have left. Then the pilot came on and said that we have a maintenance problem with one of the engines that will be quickly resolved! 1 ½ hrs later, still not fixed, we all trouped off the plane and then waited another 2 hrs for a replacement. We finally arrived in San Francisco at 6:15pm local time, almost 5 hrs behind schedule. We finally hit the road in our rental car at 7:30pm and after a quick burger on the way arrived at the hotel at 9:45pm. Tomorrow we go to Redding, CA and will hit a winery or two on the way…..
