Day 21 - Sitka

Today we are running through very narrow channels on our way to Sitka; wonderfully dangerous names like Perils!

We arrived in Sitka at 11am, and after lunch visited the Sitka National Park where we had a nice walk and saw some totem poles and the site of the battle between the Russians and the Tlingit Indians that led to the establishment of the Russian American capital in Sitka.

Then onto the Alaska Raptor Center where injured raptors are cared for and hopefully returned to the wild. Then the Sheldon Jackson Museum, a collection of native artifacts similar in scope to the museum in Juneau.

We walked back to the boat from the museum; Sitka a bit of a disappointment.
