Caught up on our laundry, yeh we have clean clothes for the rest of the vacation.
Checked in for our cruise, picked up our boarding passes and had our photos taken for security I assume so that no one else can assume our identity and get onto the ship!
Strolled around the town and saw the Vollendam, a Holland America cruise ship dock. She and 3 other cruise ships are in town today. In fact we think that the Princess cruise ship in town today, the Coral Princess, was the boat that was docked in Whittier last Saturday; it’s an ugly ship with what look like jet engines towards the stern of the ship.
Checked out places for dinner tonight; the Twisted Fish seems the best bet.
Had lunch at The Hanger and watched as float planes took off and landed in the sound.
Visited the Alaska State Museum, founded in 1900 and is the official home to state’s history and over 27,000 artifacts, works of fine art and natural history specimens. If you are ever in Juneau it’s a worthwhile place to spend some time.
And now some photos.....
