Day 37 Wednesday October 9, 2013

Spent the morning sightseeing in downtown Santa Fe, a very interesting and unusual North American city. No building appears to be above about 3 stories high and everything in built in the adobe style. Visited the main tourist attractions and did a little bit of shopping.

Then returned to the MB dealer to get the new tire and after having that done we returned to Santa Fe and visited Canyon Road, famous for its galleries. We visited the William & Joseph gallery where we have purchased our DeBusk sculptures and were fortunate enough to meet and talk to him!

After Canyon Road we returned to downtown to look for the oldest church and house in the USA.
St. Miguel, the oldest church in the US, built in the early 1600's

We now feel that our trip is over and that now we have the long slog back to North Carolina. We had considered dropping down to the Gulf coast to return, but have decided that can be a fly drive trip sometime in the future.
