European Odyssey June 3 to 10, 2015 - NY to Southampton

Intermediate bridge classes; pod(s) of dolphins; guitar recital by Ben Kearsley; 6 laps first day then an extra lap each day; pianist comedian, John Courtney; the stairs are killing us! Seen more ships on this crossing than the last time. Concorde lecture; Jack is 80 years old! I guessed 70! He and Goula have been together for 4 years.

June 7, 2015 We have been joined at dinner by two sisters, Janet and Susan, originally from West London. Janet now lives in Brussels and Susan remains in London. Janet spent time with her husband in Hong Kong before they were transferred to Brussels, he works for BAT. Susan is an art teacher for at risk children.

June 8, 2015 Threw one of Patrick's picks overboard this afternoon at 48 46.8N, 18 51.9W into a water depth of 4,800 meters. Will do again when we are in the Pacific next year. Very windy today, Force 6, but the seas not too bad, but difficult to walk around the deck.

This is where the pick went into the Atlantic.

When we got to Southampton just did a walk around the town as we had explored when we were here before. Jack and Goula went to Bath, but seemed to spend most of their time on the coach stuck in traffic!
